Midwest ENT Specialists is affiliated with the Midwest Surgery Center, a leading outpatient surgical facility specializing in the surgical care of disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head and neck for adults and children, as well as cosmetic facial surgery.
In a pleasant and relaxed environment, our professional team at Midwest Surgery Center will gently guide you through every step of your surgical procedure. On staff are expert anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, registered nurses and certified operating room technicians who all work together to make your surgical experience as positive as possible.
We realize that preparing for surgery can be a stressful experience. This is a time when you want the compassionate and skilled surgical staff at the Midwest Surgery Center by your side.
Before Surgery
A patient information form and preaddressed envelope will be mailed to you prior to your surgery. Please promptly return the completed form to Midwest Surgery Center. A registered nurse will contact you one to two days prior to your surgery to review your medical history and give you a time to arrive at the surgery center. Take this opportunity to ask any questions you have regarding your surgery. If our nurse has been unable to reach you by 12:00 noon on the day prior to your surgery, please contact the Surgery Center at 651-642-9199.
Post Surgery
After your surgery, our thoughtful nursing staff in the recovery area will care for you until you are ready to go home. You will be given post-surgical instructions, and a follow-up appointment will be scheduled for you. Either your doctor or your anesthesiologist must approve your discharge.
Be sure to make arrangements to have someone drive you home after your surgery.
The Day after Surgery
A nurse will contact you on the day following your surgery to answer any questions you may have and check on your recovery progress.
NOTE: If you have a medical emergency, immediately call 911 for assistance.
